Jenna Fischer has become best well-known for her role as Pam Beesly, the character she played in The Office. In the course of playing this role, Jenna received two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Her mother, Anne performed in church plays when she was young, which instilled a love of performance and theater in Jenna. Jenna was a spectator as her mother Anne was in the church stage. Her love for performance and theater began at a very young girl.
After wrapping up The Office, Fischer, a theater-trained actress returned to her roots. She starred with Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway play Reasons for Being Happy. Her role was later reprised at the premiere world-wide of Steve Martin's latest show Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking show on The Old Globe Theatre.
The cast of the show, including Angela Kinsey (the co-star of Fischer) as well as her best friend in real life Angela Kinsey, who is from The Office, started a podcast back in October. The show was called Office Ladies. The show has grown in popularity and has been a part of the Top Ten every single week. Its first year, it received over 200 million downloads.
