Laura Linney is an American actor, who became popular for her portrayal of vulnerable but strong characters. As a teenager, she spent her summers in the home of her father and gaining an interest in the theater. Following her studies at Brown University for a while, then later at Juilliard School to study acting. She began her Broadway career after her graduation in the year 2000, before making her television debut the following year. Since then, she's been in numerous films as well as stage and television productions. Through her entire professional career, she's received many awards, which includes 2 Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. In spite of all these accolades, her love for the theatre isn't gone constant, as she performs as a stage performer and screen.
