Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
While I had one baby on me and others in the cradle, I worked 12 hours a day grinding floors and cutting off wallpaper. Ha! It was all falling into place, however we were nowhere near done. In order to furnish the house would be an enormous undertaking with regards to budget and time. It was also going to be a challenge to do my favourite shopping. My sons, my husband and I searched for hidden gems while attending estate sales in order to ensure that my spending was under control. We would go from Thursday to Saturday at estate sales and garage sales buying brand new furniture. Then I stenciled and polished the driveway during the workweek. It was kind of like this... Here is where my love for in the process of restoring old furniture got started. It didn't matter if our house had already been decorated. I also had a booth at the market to sell things. Eventually I had more pieces that I knew how to use them and outgrew the space. At home, I started hosting open houses, where over 1,000 people were able to come in and purchase any product they liked on the 1st floor over the course of a weekend. Growing Days is the result from this. Growing Days was not only an incredibly successful business, but as well my family. There was a perfect balance between starting a new business and being a mother. Growing Days just seemed to fit. The year 2013 was the year my daughter Nora became our fourth child. My company was doing well but I wanted a rest. I decided to take some time off from my vintage furniture and remain at home with the children. It was just what I wanted. It rang once more after a while. Many people called me seeking advice regarding home improvements and decor. These people had mostly attended my house during the open houses to purchase furniture. Then I slowly took on new clients according to my own pace. In the end, I had many clients and I was running an enterprise of renovations to homes. Most likely, I'd have laughed had somebody had informed me that my business was going to be the premise of an upcoming tv program on DIY Network. When I look back, it still makes me smile.
